QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

A few things worth knowing.

Installation, organization, saved links and compatibility. The practical details, in one place.

01

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome and Edge version 121 or later are supported. Other Chromium browsers may work; Firefox and Safari do not support this extension.

02

Is the extension available in five languages too?

Both the website and extension support Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean and Latin. The extension follows your browser language by default; choose a language at the top right to save your preference.

03

What counts as a duplicate tab?

The complete URL must match, including the path, query and hash. Different routes remain separate. Page state such as unsent form input is not compared, so save your work before organizing.

04

Does archiving change my browser bookmarks?

No. Archives use KoiTab's own local collection. Browser bookmarks are displayed read-only. A saved entry is a link, not an offline webpage copy.

05

Why was an old tab not archived?

Pinned, active or navigating tabs are excluded, as are pages that do not meet the age threshold. Tabs that change while saving are also kept. Diagnosis explains why there are no eligible pages.

06

How do I update without losing saved links?

Replace files in the original extension directory, then reload from the extensions page. Do not uninstall first: uninstalling may clear the extension's local storage.

07

Can I undo an organization?

There is no complete one-click undo. Browser history may help reopen closed pages, but window positions, groups and form input are not guaranteed to return. Review the diagnosis preview first.

08

Will my saved links sync across devices?

No. KoiTab uses the current browser's local storage and has no account or cloud sync service.

09

Why can I not load the extension?

Enable Developer mode and select the extracted folder that contains manifest.json. Managed browsers may prohibit manually loaded extensions; follow your administrator's settings.
