After diagnosis, choose Coarse, Medium or Fine on the Organize card. Coarse combines the main site; Medium separates subdomains such as Gmail and other Google apps; Fine also separates Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Excel, document or PDF files on the same host. Coarse is the default. Your choice is saved automatically and browser groups change when you organize.

Fine recognizes document, spreadsheets, presentation and forms paths on docs.google.com, and .xls/.xlsx/.xlsm/.xlsb, .doc/.docx, .ppt/.pptx, .ods/.odt/.odp, .csv and .pdf at the end of a URL path. Other pages fall back to subdomains. Document IDs, query strings and hashes do not create groups. Single tabs stay ungrouped; saved collections keep their categories.

KoiTab compares the complete URL, including its path, query and hash. Only identical addresses are duplicates, with pinned or active pages preferred when choosing what to keep.

For example, /article#notes and /article#comments remain distinct, as do /page and /page/.

Choose tabs unused for 3, 7 or 30 days. KoiTab writes their links to a local collection before closing pages that still meet the conditions.

If saving fails, the tabs stay open. Before closing, KoiTab rechecks the URL, window, access time and active state. Changed tabs are left alone.

In all-windows mode, the current window holds site groups, while ungrouped pages gather in another window. Groups sit on the left, loose tabs on the right.

Current-window mode does not move tabs between windows. Pinned tabs stay put, and the current window is never emptied while the popup is running.

Groups remember your open or collapsed preference. Automatically collapse groups at 5, 8 or 12 tabs, then use the global search to search tabs, KoiTab saves and browser bookmarks together.

Search temporarily expands matching groups. Switching between Tabs and Collections keeps the query; clearing it restores their previous state.

KoiTab's collection stores archived links. Browser bookmarks are shown read-only, and both use the same global search as open tabs. Deleting a saved link does not delete a browser bookmark.

Deleting filtered results only affects the collection entries you confirmed. Hidden entries remain untouched.

Open Settings at the bottom left and choose Export backup to save a JSON file. To move to another browser or recover after reinstalling, choose Import backup, review new and duplicate counts, then confirm. Favorites merge by full URL, keeping existing entries. Select Also restore settings from the backup to restore language, organizing preferences and collapsed groups.

Backups contain only KoiTab favorites and settings, without browser bookmarks, open tabs or page content. Files are read locally; KoiTab JSON backups up to 20 MB are supported.
